Since 1933, Seattle Credit Union has served the businesses, families, and entrepreneurs of Seattle supporting its economic development from arts and education to the things people purchase every day.

 

SMCU wanted to create a memorable corporate office space to express their history and values. With the design direction of JPC Architects, a reclaimed storage container made the perfect object to help realize this vision referencing their location overlooking the Port of Seattle. Our team gave the storage unit new purpose by developing a moveable wall system from shipping container walls extending over 30’. These walls also have the ability to recess into a small adjacent niche giving the space more versatility. Additionally, this large feature was mimicked throughout the space with a shipping container meeting room and barn doors.​
